Temperature dependence of linearly polarized optical absorption have been measured on the single crystals of (NMe4)2TCNQ3 in the spectral range from mid-infrared to visible. A strongly temperature-dependent inter-radical charge transfer band is observed in addition to the well-known bands of the TCNQ complexes. The properties of this band reflect the structural phase transition in this crystal. In the infrared region the vibration modes appear in neutral and anionic species provides the uneven distribution of the electrons along the TCNQ stack. The existence of the originally infrared-inactive ag modes indicates the dimerized nature of the TCNQ- molecules and strong coupling between the radical-radical charge transfer and the molecular vibration.
