THE USE OF EIGENSTRUCTURES FOR ENHANCING THE 3D SEISMIC INTERPRETATION

Abstract
An attempt to enhance 3D seismic interpretation has been``carried out by implementing an algorithm based on the``eigenstructures. Basic principle of this algorithm is``the fact that continuous reflections produces higher``eigen ratio than discontinuous ones. The analysis is carried out``by calculating the eigen ratios of different time windows and``plot the result as an eigen cube. The eigen ratio, that can be used``as a measure of coherency, can indicate ``changes in geological structures.
